Picture Travel

I want to travel. If you know me, you know this is something I’ve dreamt about since I was 12.

The reason I read so much as a kid was due to the fact of me being so immersed in another world, whether it was Paris, another state, or some fantasy land (like in The Hobbit).

Now that I’m 20, I’m trying my best to be able to do that soon.

But its hard, Living Is Expensive.

While its easy to think you understand at 15, once 20 hits, reality does too.

But, I think I’ve come up with a solution for me to be able to experience other worlds and not have to wait until I’m 30, or 60 to do so.

I’ve heard about travel points over the last couple of summers… I’ve heard that by opening some type of travel credit card and earning points, that its possible to save money on flights, food etc. simply by using it on the ground.

Now, I don’t know too much about these, and anything with the word “credit” makes me second-eye it… but from anyone who has actually traveled or used travel points and travel cards, please let me know how it started and what you’ve been able to do since opening the account.

The first place I want to go is somewhere not far from home, yet in another country about a day’s drive away.

This isn’t some kind of puzzling question, this is me trying to avoid telling you where I actually live. ๐Ÿ™‚

Not sure if I’ll be driving, flying, what have you, but just in case I want to try and prepare for it.

With these travel points, people are able to build them up in a year and fly off to London for instance…

I can’t express to you how badly I want to be that person.

So, with that said, please let me know you’re experiences / favorite places to open one with.

Thanks for reading. ๐Ÿ™‚

Nat

A Face Of Truth

Today I put on a face of determination. That includes a flick on the eye, a bold lip for a change, and a smirk. Everyone has different faces for different moments and different environments, but I have only ever had one face. Whether it be painted to the hilt, or bare; I have always had the same face and I will always have the same face. Walking outside, in a world I’m not most familiar with, I am recognized and in turn I am in shock. I was under the impression that wearing a lot of makeup drowns a person and creates a false image, whereas people still recognize me with or without makeup- even when I believe I am painting a false image. It’s because I don’t change my face to the point of it being someone else’s; is what I was told. Facial modes will change given time and given challenges, but I will forever have the same face. I’ve always admired different characters, different books, different stories, simply being different. But maybe I don’t have to be different, because I’m already an original. I will not place myself under my own telescope anymore. I will not listen to those who give me questioning looks, or pick at me from their throne of life’s lies, I am here to be one person and love myslef. I am determined to prove that I only paint a face of truth.

Late night chat

imageIt’s a late night tonight. I’ve spent it doing the usual dorm living things such as watching movies, studying here and there, and let’s not forget sleeping. My favorite thing about my room is the lights (actually my roommate’s) which are bright orange (Halloween, yes!!) and yellow. As you can see, I have many little doo dads on my desk, a few posters on my wall, and pikachu (kindly given by my boyfriend) chillin’ by my dreamer pillow. Nothing too rad, but it’s my little space and I love it quite a lot. I think everyone needs a little corner they feel comfortable in where they write, edit, read, jam out to music, do homework, etc. Whatever the sorts, it’s a good thing to have and it’s nice to come back to a comfy cozy space after a long long day.

Now I have to know (I mean it’s not a necessity, I won’t die without it, but if you’d like to share go on please), whats your favorite little space?

Relax

Sometimes you may get stressed because your working a lot, you have a lot on your mind, or maybe you just haven’t had any time to yourself. Rather than kick back and watch a season or two of your favorite show (New Girl and Doctor who for me at the moment), why not get out and enjoy the weather, if it’s a nice day that is.

In my case, I’ve worked the past four days non stop, one of them being a 4 am shift. I am exhausted to say the least. I decided today would be a good day to go to the pool and grab a book I just started and have been eager to get back to. “Saint Anything” is the title and Sarah Dessen is the author, she is my favorite author ย without a doubt and the second I saw she wrote a new novel I went right away to target to pick one up (I even got a signed copy! :D). The cover is definitely dar ker than her previous stories (that’s just something I noticed), and the story is amazing as always.

Whenever you feel overwhelmed in your daily activities it’s nice to chill and do something relaxing, for me, that would be reading. I realized I haven’t been reading as much as I used to and that’s kind of a bummer I think. But I’m getting back into the swing of things and finding some peace before heading back to work in a few days.

Hope your summer is great so far! *_^
