Yes, I’m going to eat the cake even though I may regret it later.
Why you ask?
Oh, just because today I asked myself why I should deprive myself of sweets and I couldn’t come up with much of an answer besides not wanting to make snacking a massive habit.
When did it all become about numbers; how many pieces of cake, how many slices of pizza, how pieces out of the massive box of goldfish I bought at Target…
As long as I know what I’m doing, I don’t hold myself to absurd standards like exercising every single day for two hours (not that I’m the person to ask about working out) or eating ONLY organic food and little sugar or calories-what have you- I’ll be alright.
I eat for myself.
I eat for the pure happiness of it, and I eat when I’m hungry, not when I’m bored.
Okay, that’s a bold lie, sometimes when I’m bored and its just been one of those days with endless movies, then yes I will without a doubt.
But other than that I try to balance the healthy foods with the not so healthy foods… it’s really all anyone can do.
So I say, eat the cake. Life’s too short. Worry about the silly things later.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock (assuming you’re not Patrick Star that is), you should know that Harry Styles is kicking ass in the music industry.
He’s making a mark, his own mark with music influenced from what he enjoys listening to and what he would listen to.
“Sign of The Times” has been out since a couple weeks ago and just recently on Saturday Night Live (SNL) he debuted another song called “Ever Since New York” which I have to say might be even better than the “Sign Of The Times” track.
I’m writing this simply to let you know that Styles is worth listening to whether with old or young ears, it’s a new vibe that isn’t electronic or auto-tuned to the hilt– it’s fresh, new, and genuine from the artist.
Music like this, is music that will never go out of style.
Also, I have to add that Jimmy Fallon and Styles were Amazing on SNL. Amazing with a capital “A.” Both are hilarious, both are talented AF, and both do something to me heart I can’t describe besides make it smile.
P.S. I watched Moana for the first time EVER last night (finally!), and that Disney movie is fantastic. Go watch it if you haven’t, just go. ❤
Also, The photo on the SNL set I believe was taken by Rosalind O’Connor (who’s amazing, at least from what I’ve seen over on SNL’S Facebook page. 🙂
One doesn’t really recognize their bad habits until they are staring them in the face.
For me, mine would be not sleeping. I’ve had a few days at a time where I’ve combated this but for the most part it’s consistently been between 2-3 AM that I fall asleep.
It’s terrible. It’s something I really want and need to fix.
I didn’t realize just how horrible until I looked at an anonymous site a minute ago and saw posts I made from 30+ days ago, about getting no sleep, and realized I am in the exact same spot.
The exact same situation, it’s just with the change of events and time itself it’s easy for those worries to fade away or be brushed off.
I don’t want to brush this off, and I don’t want it to fade away. What I want is for the early bird in me to reappear considering it’s been gone for 3+ years now.
Don’t ever take for granted sleep, it’s vital for doing everyday things and producing coherent sentences lol.
Thanks for reading!
Tea, in my opinion, is understated.
There are many types of tea, from chai to green tea etc.
Here I have earl grey, morning thunder, chai spice, and sleepytime tea (basically chamomile and spearamint).
I love tea, especially chamomile because it is relaxing before bed or reading a good book. That I think is my favorite. 🙂
It’s a late night tonight. I’ve spent it doing the usual dorm living things such as watching movies, studying here and there, and let’s not forget sleeping. My favorite thing about my room is the lights (actually my roommate’s) which are bright orange (Halloween, yes!!) and yellow. As you can see, I have many little doo dads on my desk, a few posters on my wall, and pikachu (kindly given by my boyfriend) chillin’ by my dreamer pillow. Nothing too rad, but it’s my little space and I love it quite a lot. I think everyone needs a little corner they feel comfortable in where they write, edit, read, jam out to music, do homework, etc. Whatever the sorts, it’s a good thing to have and it’s nice to come back to a comfy cozy space after a long long day.
Now I have to know (I mean it’s not a necessity, I won’t die without it, but if you’d like to share go on please), whats your favorite little space?
