Q & A 2016

I logged into WordPress wanting to post a blog, realizing I haven’t posted in a while and then stumbled on a notification saying I’ve been on this site for two years.

Wow, I mean wow.

I am absolute crap at posting (although in my defense I’ve been trying to upload a YouTube video and failing completely due to the editing system I was using) so in order to make that up and to have you all get to know me a bit better I decided to post a Q&A.

I hope it’s fun to read haha– it is sort of a long post, so bare with me. Or, disappear while you have the chance. 🙂

Hereee we go:

  1. Do you have any siblings?

Yes, i have one 19 year old sister. We are fraternal twins, she has blonde hair and blue eyes whist i have brown hair and brown eyes.

2. How old are you?

I’m 19 & my birthday is on the 13th of October.

3. What’s your height?

5ft 2″ i think…

4. What’s your top/dress size?

I’m a 2 or 4 depending on the store I go to.

5. Do you have any diet plans/tips?

I don’t. I should, but i don’t. I sort of just eat whatever i feel like but food that’s bad for me tends to be number one. I’ve been eating a lot more fruit recently and trying out new recipes which reminds me i want to share one soon– so we’ll have to see how this pans out.

6. Do you workout/How do you stay so slim?

This is going to sound terrible, but i don’t. I have a high metabolism which allows me to stay slim (this will most definitely change in a few years) although at one point I did do yoga in High School. I do really want to start exercising though, lately I have been walking too! So a point for me haha.

7. Do you have any pets?

I have a dog that’s a wheaten terrier named Riley who I also call Bubba sometimes. He is the best dog, I love him to pieces even though he’s 12 and STILL acts like a puppy. That’s what I love about him though.

8. What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

This will sound boring..but nothing. I like organizing from time to time– that stresses me out/ reaxes me lol. Majority of the time though I’ll be watching YouTube videos and maybe reading.

9. Who inspires you?

So many people inspire me. I can’t pick one. Ii get inspired from everyone to be honest, anyone I meet could be an inspiration.

10. What do you feel is your greatest achievement?

Winning a debate against a snooty guy who thought I was nothing but a lollygagging girl. He certainly got a surprise. 🙂

11. What do you value most in life?

The people that value me. Not the fakers. They suck.

12. What do you do?

I am currently going into my Junior year of college (aka University). I worked at school this past year while studying and am working for the same company this summer. Not sure how much longer I will stay– but everyone’s been super sweet and I’ve loved it WAY more than my old job (my Co-workers were great, the customers however tended to be a little interesting).

13. What is your dream job?

My dream job…hmm..my dream job would be a Journalist. I have had a lot of ideas but Journalism is always the one I come back to. Plus, law school is incredibly expensive and maybe a paralegal one day, but first I’m chasing my Journalism dream. Writing, simply anything where I can write would be amazing.

14. Do you make good grades?

Yes. I try my best with everything I do– however, this year has brought on many new challenges such as working while studying and having a new relationship etc.– not that those are setbacks! But with everything being new to me, I had to constantly remind myself to breathe which was a pain in itself but I got my behind back in gear.

15. Do you want to get married later on in life?

Of course, as does every other girl. I have always been a super girly girl. I could talk about makeup forever simply because i find it fun. I also have day’s where I am the complete opposite though–not that either one is a bad thing, I’m just telling you the straight up truth. I would never marry the wrong person just for a wedding– I think it’s best to meet the one that is in it for you (everything about you) and the one you love whole-heartedley too. I hope I get married to someone who is genuinely my best friend and also love that will stick with me until the end. Of course, I don’t want to rush any of that. I personally feel the youngest I want to be married is 27 so I can figure my stuff out and live my life and so that whoever marries me can do the same.

16. Do you have any phobias?

Spiders. I am not a fan of them at all. I also don’t like the ocean. I don’t trust/ know what’s in it and I think its best to just stay far away.

17. Have you ever had a near death experience?

I haven’t really.

18. Do you get mad easily?

No, I don’t get mad easily. But if someone is being a complete idiot for a while, I will get frustrated and upset instead of mad.

19. Heels or flats?

I love wedges, I don’t feel as incapable of walking. haha

20. Favourite moisturiser?

Right now it’s Nivea, it used to be clinique’s dramatically different moisturizer

21. Where do you buy most of your clothes from?

Forever 21 / Pacsun / American  Eagle

22. Favorite Shop?

This is annoying but I don’t have a favorite shop.

23. Favorite makeup brand?

Mac (just for the lipstick and currently the MSFN), Too Faced, Urban Decay, and Benefit has never failed me. To each their own reasons as to why I love them.

24. Favorite drugstore makeup brand?

Wet N’ Wild by a longshot. The first makeup brand I ever bought from and right after was Burt’s Bee’s.

25. Favorite nail polish brand?

Essie and Sinful Colors. I always look at the names before I buy them too, I don’t know why, I just find it interesting and I love when I find one that fits the day? I have no real explanation tbh.

26. What was your first makeup item?

My first makeup item was a Wet N’ Wild eyeshadow trio in walking on Eggshells and a Wet N’ Wild lipgloss called “can’t be tamed” that I was obsessed with. It smelled minty and was sparkly.

27. What are you into the most, if you HAD to choose one..Jewelery, Makeup, Shoes, Clothes?

There’s a time when i would have said handbags hands down, but now I would definitely say makeup.

28. What is your favorite shoe store?

DSW.

29. At what age did you start wearing makeup?

Around 12/ 13 and it was every once in a while but all it was, was brown eyeliner. No mascara, no eyeshadow, just thick brown eyeliner on my waterline. Just try and picture that, and then completely erase that image from your mind ahaha

30. Do you wear falsies? If so which brand?

Nope. They freak me out.

I hope you enjoyed this little Q&A… it was completely random but fun. 🙂

Have a great night/ day, and feel free to answer any of these questions in the comments or in your own post!

Thanks for listening to me. ❤

What’s In My Bag?

This is my current handbag. I’ve had it for at least three years, and it has done me well to this day. I bought it at Nordstrom for $40-45 and before you can gasp at the amount I spent on it, I fell in love with it and it is still my staple bag to this day. Yes, I switch handbags around as everyone does, but without a doubt this is my favorite and still looks to  be in good shape.

Here’s what’s inside…

  1. Gloves
  2. A book- “Saint Anything” written by Sarah Dessen (her books are my absoulte favorite ever since I can remember).
  3. A water bottle (I carry around water 90% of the time)
  4. Superman Headphones
  5. My wallet (holds mints, little memories such as movie tickets, fortunes from fortune cookies, my license, and $10 at most)
  6. Movie tickets
  7. A Star Wars notebook I couldn’t help but buy
  8. A pink USB flash drive
  9. A mini Paris notebook
  10. A Carpe Diem bracelet- reminds me little moments matter and not to dwell on the future (or anything for that matter) too much
  11. A mini blue comb
  12. Tweezers
  13. Kate Moss Rimmel 107 lipstick
  14. Jack black lip balm in “natural mint”
  15. Bare minerals marvelous moxie lipgloss in “rebel”
  16. Revlon lip butter in “strawberry shortcake”–I’ve repurchased this for as long as I’ve owned my purse
  17. Mac lipstick in “pure zen”
  18. Versace bright crystal rollerball
  19. An array of pens and pencils
  20. A mini orange pencil I stole from a mini golf club on accident
  21. Neosporin tube
  22. A little Kleenex pack
  23. Mini orange sticky notes– I’m just now realizing how many “mini” things I own here
  24. Hand warmers–its chilly out!
  25. Peanut M&M’s–I love me some of these.

And that’s everything in my bag at the moment! Sorry there was nothing exciting like a dog. ❤

Let me know what you carry around, no really, these are my favorite types of tags. 🙂

Late night chat

imageIt’s a late night tonight. I’ve spent it doing the usual dorm living things such as watching movies, studying here and there, and let’s not forget sleeping. My favorite thing about my room is the lights (actually my roommate’s) which are bright orange (Halloween, yes!!) and yellow. As you can see, I have many little doo dads on my desk, a few posters on my wall, and pikachu (kindly given by my boyfriend) chillin’ by my dreamer pillow. Nothing too rad, but it’s my little space and I love it quite a lot. I think everyone needs a little corner they feel comfortable in where they write, edit, read, jam out to music, do homework, etc. Whatever the sorts, it’s a good thing to have and it’s nice to come back to a comfy cozy space after a long long day.

Now I have to know (I mean it’s not a necessity, I won’t die without it, but if you’d like to share go on please), whats your favorite little space?

Friend Zone

I just watched this video and it is incredibly PERFECT.

To be honest this just reminded me of this one guy I was talking to for a bit and when I asked if we could just be friends first, right away he aid “no” which threw me back a bit. I felt exactly like the last line in this video. But being my usual “give everyone ten chances self”–which you should NEVER DO–I went out with him again because I thought maybe I wasn’t fair to him and maybe he isn’t as bad as I had originally thought. You know when you get hint after hint and yet still doubt someone could actually be who their portraying (a terrible human being) in the first place? Well, after making up my mind I decided I didn’t like him and told him he needed to find a girl who worked with him better (letting him down gently) and his response was different, one because his friends were sitting a bit near us while this was going down (completely NOT planned, I had no idea whatsoever) but I’m pretty sure at one point he kicked my leg. I was furious and had no doubt in my mind I was doing the right thing by ending everything with this guy. I absolutely HATE to say this, BUT, guys who take advantage of girls (and vice versa for that matter), guys who expect something in return for whatever, guys who deliberately try to make you feel like CRAP after you decide they aren’t good for you (even when let down in a nice way), DO exist. So be careful, please, why water the weeds when you can water the flowers.

Welp, this video is for those who think they’re doing the right thing and being a “gentleman” who deserves something something after being so. The case is, no one has to do ANYTHING for you/another if they don’t want to. Asshole.

Love,

Nat

Try new things

Something I found to boost my mood and make the day a bit better if needed is quite silly yet genius in it’s own way. I’m talking about packaging. When I buy something I’m immediately drawn to the cute packaging, anyone you ask may just tell you they’ve bought something simply based on how much they loved the packaging. There is definitely truth to that. I feel like I should start a segment where I post about a product I love with adorable packaging haha because I find it’s an instant mood booster when you look forward to seeing something. That’s what packaging is all about right? Catching someone’s eye and keeping it. What better way to make a good impression than producing a product that screams “you have to have me!”

Personally, before buying anything–especially when it verges on being pricey– I look at reviews and decide on whether or not it’s worth it. But sometimes you see  something and you immediately grab it because it’s that awesome.

I’ve recently developed a love for scones myself, specifically vanilla bean, so just yesterday when grocery shopping naturally I dropped over to the bakery (something one should NEVER do when hungry) and picked up some cherry almond scones. The best decision I’ve ever made in terms of buying a dessert/ breakfast…

These were absolutely delicious and not only that but they had a pink bow guarding them in clear wrapper. It was simple yet appealing. I find it hard to find something equally as delicious and adorable but taking one bite of this scone made me feel as though I had reached the equivalent of squid-ward eating a krabby patty for the first time (sponge bob reference). Goes to show you trying new things isn’t bad and can be fun.

The key to happiness is good food, laughing, and doing what you love.

Hope everyone is doing good and enjoying the summer so far! ^_^

Love,

Nat💖

Despairing day in May

Today has been absolute crap.

You know those days where everything is absolutely horrible and one bad thing after another just so happens to occur to you? It’s one of those days. These days are no fun, they are draining, annoying, and downright pessimistic after a certain point.

There are times where minor things may bug you, no big deal– you brush them off. Then there are the little bugger of days when someone so much as breathes and you suddenly feel like you could spit fire and tear down a building. Okay, maybe not to that extent.

But simply put, in one way or another if you make it through the day in one piece, you’ll be playing some chill playlist, maybe reading a book, looking forwards to something, anything as simple as a coca cola you were saving for a day specifically like this– and it simply isn’t the golden ticket to the fix you needed. Or it got all messed up in the process–either way, crappy day it is and a crappy day is one you must vent about whether it be writing, ranting, or eating a pack of Oreos over.

In my case, I was woken up at 8 am on a Saturday because my sister had to go to work at 10 and the alarm on her phone was going off so much that I had to get up to turn it off five times. Not once, not twice, but five times. Now yes, I may have gone to bed at four a.m.–not the best choice. But in my defense, Grace Helbig uploaded a new video with Hannah Hart and Mammarie and if you love YouTubers as I do, you will understand my reasons. After I finally got back to sleep at ten am (yes, 10 am) my Dad knocks on the door complaining about finding a job (the typical pointless parent rant we’ve all heard before with the classic “back when I was your age.” When I already have one might I add. So I shove off driving in my sisters car (which I have never driven before but had to drive it around the block a few times in order to get the jist of it) out and about hoping with all my might it doesn’t break down. Guess what happened? Plot twist: it didn’t break down.

Later in the day when I managed to pick up my sister from work, she get’s in the car and proceeds to tell me how bad of a driver I am simply because she had a busy day at work. How rude (Michelle tanner voice activate). I love my family to pieces, don’t get me wrong. But those specific days when every single member of the family including the dog seems to be in a mood, no amount of ice cream can fix that.

I don’t want to bore you with the rest of it, but I do however want to say if you’re having a bad day it helps to remember while you may be having the worst day of you’re life, someone out there in the world is having the best day of theirs. That should make you feel a smidge better at least. 🙂

P.s. I think I can turn it around by watching “Big hero 6” and “New Girl” reruns while eating my weight in mashed potatoes (at dinner), and peanut M&M’s haha.
